00:02:15 - In this podcast we have a special chapter in which two legendary hard rocky heavy metal bands from the two ends of the world, England and the United States were present in Buenos Aires on March 9, 2023 to give their concerts. Even given the resemblance of two groups which have a festive face but live surrounded by death, this was a good opportunity to appreciate the differences.

00:02:42 - Some respond to the British tradition of the melodic and its delicacy, the others, to a raw sonority.

00:02:53 - At 8.30 pm, unbearably hot, and with that typical English punctuality, Death Leopard appeared on the stage of Park Sarmiento in Buenos Aires.

00:03:03 - An old band from the 70s that shone without a doubt in the 80s and was part of the new way of British heavy metal, which led to one of the most glorious moments in the a history of hard rock and metal in everyone.

00:03:19 - With an impeccable staging, a very neat sound that is not aggressive, as is their music, but with many melodies in their songs, they came to present their latest album Diamond

00:03:28 - Star Halos.

00:03:29 - I Who Until Now Had Not Seen The Band Live Really Surprised Me

00:03:35 - The singer Joe Elliott retains his fresh voice from the 80s.

00:03:38 - Bill Collin is a great guitarist, very prolific in his solos with a great handling of the stage, accompanied by bassist Rick Savage and drummer Rick Allen.

00:03:49 - With very good handling of the vocal harmonies, which the band members handle perfectly, the band sounded like a British clock, with a great delivery on stage by the singer and the whole band.

00:03:59 - Perfect show.

00:04:01 - Presenting songs from the last album, in which they return to do things similar to what the band had been doing in the 80s, especially after Pyromania with Hysteria and with Adrenalize, which are two albums with which they conquered the US market.

00:04:15 - On the night of Thursday, March 9 in Argentina, they recovered all that magic and mastery, which transformed them into sellers of hits and displayed not only a waterfall of hits, but also a musical and artistic class which elevates them to another category.

00:04:32 - F. Leppard Model 2023 is a band that highlights melodies, wrapped by other worldly vocal harmonies and provides a high quality designed visual show.

00:04:44 - Joe Elliott hides his gray hair under a well oxygenated blonde, but not his experience,

00:04:49 - I connect with the public without demagogy, without too much stridency, channeling the group energy and managing the stage at his whim.

00:04:57 - Phil Collins and Vivian Campbell, they shined complementing each other very well.

and Savage made a music wall. Perfect sound, as if you were listening to a compact disc.

00:05:13 - They reviewed all their hits that were emblematic, and the magnetism with the people was instantaneous.

00:05:19 - Precisely, the song that closed the show is Photograph, from his album Pyramania, which was produced by Mud Lang, who came up with the phrase, All I have is a photograph. This

00:05:30 - This sentence gave them the idea to write a song about a boy who is attracted to a girl, but all he has of her is a photograph.

00:05:39 - In the live show, thousands of photographs from the band's entire career are presented on the high-definition screen.

00:05:50 - Photograph was the first single from Pyromania, and had all the makings of a crossover hit, slick production, lively background vocals, passionate, lovesick lyrics.

by this success, the band differentiated itself from contemporary rockers such as Judas Priest and Queensright by appealing to a wide swath of women. It helped that the band was extremely photogenic and also very young. All the members were in their early 20s when the song was released, except for drummer Rick Allen, who was 19.

00:06:27 - So Elliott tells us.

00:06:51 - It still is a high key. I'm now 40 years older than I was when we originally recorded that song.

00:06:57 - It doesn't get easy. There's very few singers that I can think of that sound the same as they always did. Do you continue singing that song in the same key? Oh my god. Well actually we always play a semitone down live for everything because all of the people so high that semitone gives the guitars more power but it also saves us cancels and shows because we just sing just a tiny bit lower

00:07:48 - You're a woman, you've got style

00:07:51 - You make every man feel like a child

00:07:56 - You've got something to hold on to me

00:07:59 - You're a random and mysterious

00:08:03 - Around me's a part of me

00:08:07 - You're out, I won't, I can't see

00:08:12 - Oh, now put your gun to the top of my crown

00:08:20 - Oh, now put your gun

00:08:25 - I got it, I got it, I got it

00:08:27 - I don't want to run, I don't want to run

00:08:32 - I don't want to be gone

00:08:36 - I got it, I got it

00:08:40 - You've gone straight to my head

00:09:10 - Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

00:09:40 - I don't wanna touch you

00:09:46 - I don't wanna touch you

00:09:57 - I don't wanna touch you

00:10:05 - I don't wanna touch you

00:10:10 - Classics, songs, all time.

00:10:34 - It's time for Motley Crue.

a different proposal, very direct, aggressive, also with a very good staging. Time passes for everyone, but not for Tommy Lee, Nikki Six and Vince Neil. But the latter was noted a vocal deterioration over time. The new member John 5, fit perfectly into the band, gave it a more modern, vitalizing sound. We find a setting with a gothic touch, very dark, which they achieved with grounded fluorescent javelins and inverted crosses on three coffins, which hung from the upper structure of the stage.

00:11:20 - Motley Crew founded its legend in part thanks to several hits, beat in hairs, its unbridled use of leather, studs, which predominated in the 80s.

00:11:35 - At one point in the show, girls appeared as if chained, seeking to recreate the image of the mythical sunset strip, the lack of control that they inhabited in their youth.

00:11:45 - Let's remember that the band always used the female presence on stage, but now they have more prominence.

00:11:57 - The quartet arrived without many creative novelties regarding their Buenos Aires debut, a soaked Pepsi music from 2008 that got into the history of the band.

00:12:07 - One of the best moments in this band's career was when we came here for the first time, bassist and mastermind Nikki Six confessed again, while a fan hugging him repeated that she loved him, we are finishing the South American tour here, we save the best for last, what do you think?

64-year-old soul of the band Nicky 6 really does have an enviable sound, in fact, many of the group's songs are tuned in D and Nicky's bass gains of presence in the mix that we simply have to enjoy and not analyze too much.

00:12:44 - The same applies to the newest in the game, John V. Before any skeptic, the replacement of Nick Mars not only gives freshness to the band, but also his technique adds new arrangements to the compositions.

00:12:57 - The songs followed one another when the most or one of the most acclaimed was Girls, Girls,

00:13:02 - Girls.

00:13:03 - This song, as almost everyone knows it, is a tribute to strip clubs, seven of which are mentioned by name in the song.

00:13:12 - The Dollhouse in Featuring Lauderdale Tattletales in Atlanta

00:13:17 - The Seventh Vale in Los Angeles Crazy Horse in Paris

00:13:22 - The Body Shop in Los Angeles The Marble Arch in Vancouver and the Tropicana in Los Angeles.

00:13:32 - The video was filmed at the Seventh Vale nightclub, which is mentioned in the song.

00:13:37 - Directed by Wayne Isham, the clip was very daring for its time, with strippers in action.

00:13:43 - Unsurprisingly, it did very well on MTV.

00:13:50 - The motorcycle sounds were recorded by the band's producer, Tom Werman, using Harley's motorcycles owned by the band members. The band was very fond of motorcycles at the time, two of them are on the album cover. The Girls, Girls, Girls album is like a clash of fame and success, money and glamour. You had this gang that really worked like a gang together and didn't play by the rules. And on top of that there was debauchery going on. And that's one of the things I loved about Motley Crew. It was not functional. It was dysfunctional,

00:14:23 - Nicky said

00:14:30 - Nicky 6 tells us why they decided to play live again

00:14:35 - Uh, it started with the movie and

00:14:44 - I remember my I was sitting in my backyard, California

00:14:48 - I was taking guitar lessons online. It's like Texas blues guitar thing. My friends are like, why are you taking guitar lessons? Like, and you're not an abandon anymore. I was like, because I still love music, right? And I didn't never see Molly Currie getting back together.

00:15:07 - And my phone rang and it said my manager's name and I was playing guitar, beautiful California day. And, and I just picked up the phone and I said, no. And he goes, how can you say no, you don't even know what I'm talking about. And I said, no, I know what you're going to say. He goes, you know, they want to do eight shows. When I go, do you know how much work it is to do eight shows? And, and I was assuming arenas. I go, you know, we, we already had our final tour, like, can't really just go back and play. What's, I don't know. He goes, No, they're talking stadiums. And then was us in Def Leppard, the conversation. And then it turned into 16. Then it turned into 24. And then the US we ended, I think it was 35 or 36 shows, and they were all either sold out, or very close to sold out. And we had the time of our lives, getting along, laughing, joking, not because of the size of anything, it just felt like the right time for the band. We were celebrating being in the band. And it's just continued on. And the idea of a final tour, this isn't, we're on the road, when this these shows end, I'm sure we'll take some version of a break and decide what we're going to do during that break. And then we will, you know, we'd like to go out and do it again. I mean, I had a conversation with Tommy and Vince. And I said, you know, what are we doing for the next eight years? And they're like, you know, like, what do you mean? And I said, well, in eight years will be a bit been been a band for 50 years. And they're like, fuck, let's just take it out. Let's just go. So I don't know what that eight years gonna look like. But we're down. We're down. We're

00:17:07 - Having fun? I'm a blast.

00:19:20 - I'll tell you what girl, dance for me, I'll get you over it, boy
